BLOCKCHAIN
Could you explain block
chain
to me with
a few lego blocks please?
BLOCKCHAIN
What questions should we ask during the interview?
This week we made a plan for the interviews we want to have with experts, semi experts and a couple of students.
We made a to do list, a list of people we want to contact, a requirement list and a questionnaire to use while taking the interviews.
We decided that we will take a small interview before we do our little experiment with lego blocks. The following questions will be asked:

- What is blockchain?

- What are the more complex / less
known sides from the blockchain?

- Is blockchain the future?

- What is the worst / best thing of
blockchain?
TO DO LIST!

Message the experts we want to interview

Make the experiment whole

Read given articles and write our assumptions
After the interview we will ask the experts to visualize blockchain using a few lego blocks. This way we can see their perception of blockchain and how it works in their eyes.
I decided I should start brainstorming about prototyping. Although it’s still hard for me to grasp the subject I started thinking of visualizing blockchain in a way. I made a few sketched of things I would maybe want to do. Taking blockchain in a very literal way; a chain of blocks.

I could make simple blocks and connect these to an arduino. When one block is taken, the chain is disturped and a light will flash red.
I could also make a huge wall of blocks and represent how big blockchain actually is! ------Katharina
The block puzzle illustrates the use of hashing in the blockchain. The most inner layer has to be solved correctly to allow the user to solve the second layer correctly. In the blockchain hashing is used to validate each block. The first block has a unique 64bit id that has to correspond with the previous hash code in the second block.
The user will experience how he has to solve the previous layer and use one a part if the piece of the previous layer to correctly solve the second layer --- Rick
I've made this prototype using MDF and the lasercutter. The vector was made on illustrator.
