BLOCKCHAIN
Harm - Teacher
This week we first tested our little experiment with one of our previous teachers, Harm. A web development teacher Janno and an expert we contacted via Inte named Eduard. The results were different then we thought. Rick also made a second iteration of a visualisation of blockchain/a part of blockchain.
Harm wasn't overall very positive about blockchain. He explained to us what he thinks are the cons and pros, mainly that it possible to be disruptive and it is a very new technology. We asked him to show us a visualisation of blockchain using lego blocks. He showed how a cryptocurrency works.

Overall we learned his views on the topic, and we did not expect him to visualise blockchain in this way, as we do not consider bitcoin as such a huge part of blockchain.

Eduard - Expert
Eduard informed us that the technology behind blockchain is not new at all and that the idea has been around for a long time. It was sometimes a bit hard to understand what he meant, but we tried our best to unravel what he was trying to tell us. He told us that he doubts that blockchain will be the future as its use is not the best at the moment. When showing us his blockchain visualisation it was a bit vague but he tried to explain the blocks.

Janno - Teacher
This is the interview we liked the most. Janno is a teacher at our studies and he explained his opinion about blockchain and blockchain itself in such a way, we completely understood what he meant. He also doesn't believe its the future, but hopes it will be. Cutting out the middle man can be very fortunate in many situations. He explained to us that people often don't trust new technologies and associate blockchain with buying illegal stuff from the dark web. When making his visualisation he showed us exactly how blocks act and work in the blockchain.

is that

THE BLOCKCHAIN PUZZLE
This week I made an iteration on the blockchain puzzel. In stead of making it vertical I decided to make a 'blockchain tower'. I wanted to make this in MDF as-well but decided to go for a quicker prototype so I printed it out on paper and decided to demonstrate it to Inte and Marjolijn. They liked the idea very much. Each puzzle represents a block in the blockchain and each puzzle takes a piece from the previous puzzle with them, which represents the pre-hash code.
